Native of Wexford, studied Dentistry in Trinity College and the Dublin Dental Hospital graduating with Honours in 1990.
He is passionate about his chosen profession and up skills regularly through regular continuing post graduate education.
He has a particular interest in Endodontic and minimally invasive cosmetic treatments. Peter also has a keen interest in the role that good dental health plays in improving your general health.
Dr. Yuliya Urzhumova
Born in Ukraine, Yuliya moved to Ireland with her family at the age of eight.
Her journey in dentistry began as a dental nurse, graduating with a Dental Nursing Diploma from Trinity College Dublin in 2015.
This early experience sparked her passion for dentistry and inspired her to pursue a dental degree.
Yuliya went on to study dentistry in Belarus, where she graduated in 2021. After qualifying, she worked as a paediatric dentist until 2023 before returning to Ireland. Having successfully completed the Irish Dental Council registration exams, she is delighted to begin her career as a dentist in Ireland.
Yuliya is committed to providing gentle, patient-focused care and enjoys working with patients of all ages. She regularly attends professional courses and continues to expand her knowledge in all areas of dentistry to ensure the highest standard of care for her patients.

Steve graduated from King’s College Dental School, London in 1987.
Having completed the Vocational Training Scheme in Swansea, Wales he worked as an associate in General Practice, both in Ireland and the UK. Steve always had a keen interest in furthering his skills and in 1997 this took him back to college where he gained his Master’s degree in Removable Prosthetics from the Eastman Dental Hospital, London. In 1999 he returned to Ireland taking over the practices of the late Dr Dockery. Since then he has worked in Roscommon and continuously here in Sligo. In 2022 Steve was delighted to join the Dental team here at Peter Doyle’s Dental Clinic here in Sligo.

Catherine graduated with honours from Trinity college Dublin. She was awarded the general dental council prize in adult dental health. She worked as a house surgeon in the Dublin dental hospital gaining invaluable experience. Subsequently she worked for a number of years in a busy private practice in Dublin in 2006 she returned home to Blacklion and joined Summerhill Dental centre. She is a member of the Irish dental association and is highly committed to continuing education and attends regular dental courses and lectures.

Native of France, Anne graduated from the Dental College of Rennes University in Brittany in 2002.
She spent 3 years in general practice in Rennes and moved to Ireland in 2005, initially for a year.
Having met her husband this side of the sea, she decided to settle on the beautiful West of Ireland and has been very happily and successfully working in Summerhill dental practice since.
She is a member of the Irish Dental Association and continuously attends training courses in all dental disciplines (cosmetic, surgical, paediatric, prosthetic, periodontic, restorative) always places her patients health and well being at the centre of her care.
Dr. Minu Thomas
Dr. Minu Thomas is a Specialist Orthodontist with over 20 years of clinical experience, committed to helping patients achieve confident, healthy smiles through high-quality, evidence-based orthodontic care.
After graduating with a Bachelors in Dental Surgery, Dr. Thomas began her career at the Dublin Dental Hospital as a Senior House Officer, where she developed her interest in orthodontics .
She went on to complete her Fellowship in Dental Surgery (FDSRCS) at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and was subsequently appointed Executive Registrar at the Dublin Dental Hospital and School.
In 2002, Dr. Thomas was selected for the prestigious Specialist Training Programme in Orthodontics at Trinity College Dublin, with clinical training at both the Dublin Dental Hospital and Waterford Regional Hospitals. She earned a Master’s in Dental Science (Orthodontics), achieved Specialist Registration with the Dental Council of Ireland, and holds Membership and Fellowship in Orthodontics from the Royal Colleges of Surgeons in Ireland and Edinburgh.
Dr. Thomas has spent over 18 years with the HSE Orthodontic Services in Dublin treating a broad range of complex orthodontic cases and developing extensive expertise in both traditional and modern treatment approaches.
She relocated to Sligo in 2023 and will be working with Peter Doyle Dental Sligo starting in spring 2026, providing tailored, patient-centred orthodontic care for children, teenagers, and adults across Sligo and surrounding counties.
Dr. Thomas is known for her calm, compassionate approach and works closely with patients, families, and referring dentists to ensure excellent outcomes and a positive treatment experience. Whether considering braces, aligners, or specialist orthodontic advice, patients can trust Dr. Minu Thomas for care delivered with expertise, integrity, and genuine commitment.
